Medical live-action, stock, 3D animation & AI-enhanced voiceover product video for Elekta. Produced, designed and edited by DreamingFish.

The brief: communicating cancer care with sensitivity
Following a successful first project with Elekta, we worked with the team on a product film for Elekta Esprit, an advanced brain surgery system used to treat brain metastases, without invasive surgery. This time, we combined live-action footage, carefully selected stock, realistic 3D animation and voiceover to showcase this life-changing technology.
This was a clinical product video that needed to communicate with care. Because the subject matter related to cancer care, the tone had to be handled sensitively. It needed to feel hopeful, human and emotionally intelligent, without becoming overly dramatic, sentimental or corporate. The video also needed to work in several different versions, including with voiceover, with selected on-screen text, and in a version using subtitles only.
At the same time, the project involved multiple stakeholders and several rounds of script and on-screen text changes. This is common in clinical and medical video production, where content often needs to satisfy brand, product, clinical, regional and compliance considerations.
Blending human direction with AI tech
One of the biggest creative challenges for this project was finding the right voice. Elekta were very clear that they did not want a typical UK or US corporate voiceover. They wanted something more European, natural and understated. The voice needed to feel warm and human, but not theatrical. It needed to carry emotion, but not turn the video into a melodrama. We explored multiple human voiceover options and several AI-generated options, but none quite landed in the right place. Some felt too corporate, some too polished, some too flat and others too forced.
We recorded our own guide voiceover first, focusing on the exact tone, pace and emotional emphasis the film needed. The aim was to capture the right performance before worrying about the final voice.
The delivery had to feel sensitive but not sentimental, hopeful but not exaggerated, and promotional without sounding like a hard sell. Once we had the right performance, we used AI voice transformation to create the final voice: a natural-sounding Scandinavian female voice that felt European, warm and appropriate for the subject matter. The result was exactly the kind of tone Elekta had been looking for. It worked so well that they asked for more details about the process for potential future projects.
Stock and deliverables
Alongside the voiceover, we shaped the film using live-action, stock footage and realistic 3D animation. Particular care was taken with the stock selection. In healthcare video production, stock footage can quickly feel too generic or staged, so every shot had to feel genuine, empathetic and relevant. We created multiple versions of the film, including:
- A full voiceover version
- A version with voiceover and on-screen text for emphasis.
- A no-voiceover version using subtitles.
Throughout the process, we responded quickly to changes while protecting the quality and tone of Elekta’s Esprit video. We understand that feedback on clinical product videos can come in stages, so our role was to keep the project moving without rushing decisions or weakening the final result.

The result: a flexible, emotionally intelligent video
The final Elekta Esprit video delivered a polished and emotionally intelligent medical product video. It balanced product communication with a tone that felt human, hopeful and appropriate for the subject matter.
The voiceover became one of the strongest parts of the project. By combining human direction, performance sensitivity and AI voice technology, we were able to solve a creative challenge that traditional casting had not quite resolved. The final deliverables also gave Elekta flexibility, with different versions suitable for different platforms, audiences and viewing contexts.
This project demonstrates DreamingFish’s ability to produce healthcare and medical technology videos that require more than just filming, editing or animation. Clinical video production needs careful judgement. The tone has to be right. The visuals have to feel authentic. The message has to be clear. And when the subject matter is sensitive, every creative decision matters.
For Elekta Esprit, we combined live-action, stock, 3D medical animation, voiceover direction, AI voice technology and fast-turnaround editing to create a video that felt polished, credible and human. It is a strong example of how we support healthcare, clinical and medical technology clients with video content that needs to be technically strong, emotionally intelligent and carefully managed from start to finish.
FAQs about clinical product videos
Healthcare and medical technology videos need to work across a wide variety of platforms and audiences. To give Elekta maximum usage of the content, we created a full voiceover version, a version with on-screen text for extra emphasis, and a subtitle-only version. This ensures the message lands perfectly whether it’s being watched in a quiet presentation room, on a digital platform, or on a noisy exhibition floor.
Medical product videos often have multiple purposes. They need to be technically strong and credible enough to speak to clinicians, neurosurgeons, and hospital stakeholders. However, because the subject matter relates to patient care, the video also needed to feel hopeful and human. Our job was to balance that product communication with a tone that felt respectful and emotionally intelligent for everyone watching.
Absolutely! While this was a clinical video for a medical technology client, the core strategy—combining human-directed AI technology, authentic visuals, and fast-turnaround editing—works beautifully for any industry. Whether you are in engineering, software, or corporate training, we love finding creative solutions to solve traditional video production challenges. If you have a project in mind, we’d love to hear from you!
