The project
In March, Father and daughter duo Danny and Maisie got in touch with us to create a short and snappy 30 second teaser trailer to promote their latest project; a new app/game called Pose – an acronym for ‘people’s opinions shared everywhere’. The game, similar to Wordle, poses one daily question to its users which has to be answered using only 7 words. To reflect the fun element of the app, the tone of the animation had to be upbeat, over the top, encouraging, engaging and fun.
With a script and voiceover written and recorded by Danny, it was our turn to work on the visuals of the kinetic text animation! As with all our animations, the first step in this process is to create the styleframe/ storyboard using the client’s brand guidelines. As you can see from the below, the storyboard provides a frame-by-frame run down of how the animation will look like with the script and visuals synchronising together. This allows the client to visualise the structure and flow of the animation and feedback/amend any scenes before we start animating. Pretty cool, right?!
The teaser animation
Paired with an upbeat and funky music track, the animation was complete! We created the final teaser in 3 different aspect ratios (16:9,1:1 and 9:16) to give Pose the flexibly of sharing out the video across all their social media channels as well as a piece of marketing material for the new app. Will you be downloading the app?!

How long does it take to create an animated promo?
This usually depends on your video approach and duration but, we usually say around 2 weeks for the creation of a 20-30 second promo but this can go up to 4-8 weeks, depending on your specific requirements. If you have a particular deadline in mind, please let us know and we will work towards it to make sure we deliver your project on time.
