UNLEASH World 2024 is back!
After a very successful UNLEASH World last year, global digital media and events company, UNLEASH reached out to us again to help with the their 2024 expo in Paris. Annually, UNLEASH hold two HR events; one in Las Vegas and one in Paris to cater for all worldwide HR businesses. The two day conference is always a huge success and is full of “interactivity, excitement, connection, discovery and entertainment. It’s where those shaping the future of work and technology – from large enterprises to the next wave of innovators from around the world – come together to network, do business and share ideas.”
Much like last year, UNLEASH were after 2x highlight videos (one for each day) to be edited and delivered onsite and 1x promotional trailer to (edited at DF HQ) be teased a week after the event in order to create excitement and encourage people to sign up and attend the next expo. Alongside this, UNLEASH also wanted us to film several interviews with their day 1 and 2 guest speakers as well as getting voxpops from the expo attendees and exhibitors. These interviews would later need to be edited and shared with the UNLEASH team post event. Having created several event videos in the past and having worked with UNLEASH last year, we were super excited to get our teeth into UNLEASH World 2024! ✨
Due to the sheer size of the expo and it’s fast-paced nature, we needed a extremely detailed production schedule that told everyone what was happening when and where they needed to be. Our Producer this year, Lucy, did an amazing job of this and made sure everyone had a copy of the day 1 and 2 schedule. Due to the amount of content needed and adding on from last year, our production team was made up of 7 crew (6 last year) featuring: 2x videographers who focused on capturing expo b-roll, 2x videographers for the filming of interviews & voxpops, 1x producer, 1x production runner/MUA and 1x onsite video editor. With our team assembled, we were ready to tackle both days of the expo! 💪🏼🎥 🎬
The expo
We arrived in Paris (by Eurostar!) on Tuesday morning/afternoon and headed straight to the venue to set up and ensure we were ready to go first thing on Wednesday morning. Knowing the event was going to be very busy over the 2 days, it was essential that our production subteams were aligned and happy. Our interview team were located and set up on the top floor, whilst our onsite editor was located in the UNLEASH room downstairs. Throughout the days, our b-roll team would drop off camera cards to our editor who would look through the footage and start piecing together content for the 60 second highlights video. Both days ran super smoothly, all teams worked brilliantly and we captured some really great content!🙌🏼🙏🏼
Wednesday (Day 1) highlights 🎥
Day 1 was a huge success with thousands of guests arriving from all over the world to attend the ‘most influential HR event in the world’. The exhibition floor was buzzing with representatives from businesses like AWS, HiBob, SmartRecruiters, ORACLE, eightfold.ai, Workday, Edenred and many more. There were super interesting talks and seminars from global keynote speaker, author and entrepreneur Peter Hinssen, analyst, author and educator, Josh Bersin and American futurist, founder and CEO of the Future Today Institute, Amy Webb.
