Merry Christmas from the DF team!
It’s nearly that time of year again and we wanted to share our animated 2022 Christmas film with you all!🎅🏼🎄Created and animated by our talented motion graphics designer, Sam, here’s what he had to say when we asked what inspired the idea of this year’s video:
“I think subconsciously I was inspired by last year’s video and a squirrel around the winter holidays. The video actually however started with the snowman and was heavily inspired by the frames below which were created by 3D & motion designer, Roger Rouge ID. They depict cute winter vignettes which work great as stand alone images. I love the basic geometry of the characters and the composition of the frames. From there, I wanted to animate it and tie a story in so the snowman losing his scarf and having it returned by the squirrel was a nice way to tie it all together (pun not intended). I had also thought that it would be nice to place them inside a snow globe. Initially, I tried this in the scene itself but, we as a team came to the decision it might be nice to have them in someone’s home to bring the holiday cheer!” ⛄️ ❄️
