Citizen Watches is an exciting luxury watch brand which is headquartered in Japan and was founded in 1918. DreamingFish has been working as a video production company for Citizen for a number of years and we were excited to be approached about this project. The Citizen team approached DreamingFish to create a promotional video about the Red Arrows branded Skyhawk A.T watch for use online, on socials and in-store. The video needed to feature footage of the Red Arrows, an interview with one of the team and footage of the Skyhawk A.T itself. 

DreamingFish is an experienced creative video production agency, with a team that are used to putting projects together such as this. We worked with the Citizen team to plan the shoot and liaised with the Red Arrows staff at RAF Scampton, the former home of the Dambusters, which is where we would be filming. With all the permissions in place, we travelled to Lincolnshire and spent the day with the Red Arrows team, filming an interview with Squadron Leader Gregor Ogston, Red 6, in the team, alongside one of the planes. The interview was centred around timing and the team’s need for split second accuracy in each of their manoeuvres. At one point during the shoot the team had to fly off to a display so we filmed the pilots getting into the planes and taking off, a very loud and windy affair! The team were only away for a short time and we then filmed them returning and carried on with the shoot. Check out some BTS shots of the shoot below. 📸 ✈️⌚️

Back at the office, we moved into post-production and were supplied with some footage from the Red Arrows during their displays, as well as supplementing this with stock footage – exciting shots of the team from within the cockpit. We edited the footage together with the interview footage and b-roll, along with some 3D assets of the watch. The result was an engaging and exciting interview-led promotional video with some high octane sequences but with the watch as the central focus throughout. The video was deployed as a 16:9 digital asset and reformatted to 9:16 for use in store and online. Watch the promotional product video below! 🎥

 

How long does it take to create a video?
We usually say around 2-4 weeks for a live-action video and 4-8 weeks for the creation of explainer/demo animations, both depending on requirements. However, if you have a deadline in mind, we will work towards it to make sure we deliver your project on time. Once we have more information about your video project, we will share a production timeline with you so you can be kept updated on our progress.

Where will my promotional video be created?
Our creative studio is based in Woking, Surrey and we are able to send a crew to any location within the UK or even abroad! We can source a local crew if we’re unable to travel ourselves.
