Christmas Message 2024
2024, to quote a football analogy, has been a game of two halves.
The first half of the year seemed to be a build-up to the ‘Genny Lec’ (you have to love the British public!) – a pause while the country took a deep breath and waited to see what would happen. Consequently, the year to July felt pretty lacklustre in agency-land. Once Labour had swept to power, the second half of the year felt much more buoyant, even though businesses held their breath yet again for that first budget. And then there was the US election…
Within what has been another year of uncertainty, DreamingFish has undertaken over 200 projects including two TV commercials, shoots in Bahrain, Dusseldorf, Paris and across the US, and 3D animations for IndyKite, Elekta and Silent Pool (with NRG Digital) that really pushed us creatively. We’ve also leaned into the use of AI as a tool to assist and speed up our workflow for scriptwriting, editing, upscaling and some special effects. It’s not replacing any part of our creative process, but allows us to provide better value to our clients.
2024 was also our 10-year anniversary as a limited company and we celebrated with a party for the team. It’s certainly been an exciting roller-coaster of a ride over the last 10 years, but we’re very grateful to everyone who’s been a part of the journey.✨

We have also had great pleasure working with a number of charities over the last 12 months including working with Adjoa Andoh and Tree Aid (along with direct contributions of £2,500), filming numerous top chefs with Leukaemia UK for their Who’s Cooking Dinner event, and creating essential fundraising video assets for mental health charity, Oakleaf. We have also hosted 15 work-experience students, as well as working with a number of schools and colleges and with Surrey County Council at their Festival of Skills event.
A big big thank you to all the clients, suppliers, and friends who have contributed to what has become a pretty successful year overall, and a final thank you to the team who continue to produce outstanding work and always go above and beyond. Thank you – you’re all super great!🙏🏼🌟🎊
