I’m not going to talk about what a difficult year it’s been for all of us, you know that. It’s been tough and my heart goes out to everyone that’s suffered anxiety, isolation and sadly for so many, perhaps even grief.
But we’ve got this far, and we can now see that next year will be different.
It won’t happen quickly, but I think very soon there will be a day when we can give our loved ones a hug again without worrying. When we can visit a friend in their home, go to the theatre or to a concert, and pack away the hand sanitiser for good!
But I can also see that there have been changes made this year that will last beyond next year – 2020 may actually leave a legacy that isn’t all bad. I’m hoping that we will see a shift in the way that we perceive and treat each other and our world; where everyone is treated equally no matter what race; where hate, misdirection and devisiveness is not condoned but ridiculed and ignored; where we fight for nature and not against it.
This year has been hard, but we’ve come to the end of it and I want to say thank you to everyone who has kept us going; to our customers who offered us work even though I know things were difficult for them; to our suppliers who carried on despite the hardships; and to the DreamingFish team who made every single morning a delight and kept on working even when there seemed no end in sight.
Thank you to you all and I truly look forward to ‘seeing’ you in the New Year.
With love,
Phil and all the team at DreamingFish x
