Celebrating 1 year of #GIF!
Celebrating 1 year of our #GirlsInFilm programme! Shout out to the DF ladies who are helping to inspire, motivate and encourage those who identify as female to get into the #VideoProduction industry.đ„âšOur Girls In Film programme started in March 2022 and since then, we have spoken to around 100 female students, or those who identify as female, from local high schools, colleges and universities who are interested in a career within the media or video production industry. Our first session was at the University of Brighton, where we mentored 3 students( Alex, Ella and Greta) from different creative courses, giving them career advice and providing regular support.
We continue to reach out to other educational establishments both locally and nationally and our next stop will be at Winston Churchill High School on Wednesday 15th March, to speak to the Year 11 female students who are interested in a career within the media or video production industry. We’re excited for what 2023 will bring, watch this space!
