Tree Aid x International Women’s Day
In honour of #InternationalWomensDay today, we’re giving a special shout out to our charity partner for the last few years, Tree Aid, and all the wonderful and strong women that they support in Sub-Saharan Africa.🌳💚
We share a video we created all about Ayishetu’s story, a now cashew farmer based in West Gonja, Ghana. “Before I got into cashew, I had no other job. I used to pick shea nuts when they were in season, and I used to sell them. I also used to pick firewood or work as a farmhand on other people’s farm. Life was really difficult then.” Since working with Tree Aid, Ayishetu’s life has changed for the better through the charity’s ongoing support. “These past three years with Tree Aid has been very beneficial for me. Even when the project is over, I will still be making money with the training I received.” Watch her story below:
