2D animated explainer for Australasian accounting software provider, Quadrent. Produced, designed and animated by Dreaming Fish Productions.
The client and the brief
Quadrent is Australasia’s leading and most trusted asset leasing specialist and lease accounting software provider. Having worked with Quadrent before, we were excited to work on this new project with them. Quadrent were looking to update their explainer to better showcase the benefits of their LOIS lease accounting software and demo the product. LOIS is Quadrent’s IFRS 16 lease accounting software solution that has achieved 80% awareness in the target market across Australia and New Zealand.
The explainer animation targeted Financial Controllers in NZ and Australian organisations managing 200+ leases of any type; equipment, vehicles, property and more. DreamingFish had created the original animated explainer video back in 2018 so as well as updating the script and demo footage, the video also needed to be rebranded to change the icon style and colours to better match the current Quadrent brand.
The delivery
DreamingFish specialises in creating animated explainer videos, along with other types of engaging videos. From live-action promotional product videos to 3D software demos, we can do it all. The team at Quadrent supplied us with a revised the script, demo footage and brand guidelines. With these assets, we created new style frames, which were agreed before we started recreating the storyboard, ready for animation.
While the storyboard was in development, we recorded the new voiceover and selected a music track to complement the visuals and set the video’s pace. Once all the assets were in place, the DreamingFish team created the animated explainer video, which took around two weeks to complete. We then worked through two rounds of amends and once signed off, we delivered the final high-resolution video ready for use on their website.
