Celebrating 1 year of Girls In Film!
We’re celebrating 1 year of our Girls In Film programme! Shout out to the DF ladies who are helping to inspire, motivate and encourage those who identify as female to get into the #VideoProduction industry.✨
Our Girls In Film programme started in March 2022. Since then, Helen, Ana and Lucy, have spoken to around 100 female students, or those who identify as female. The ladies have inspired students across local schools, colleges and universities to consider a career in video production. We kicked off our first session at the University of Brighton. From there, we mentored 3 students( Alex, Ella and Greta) from different creative courses, giving them career advice and regular support.
We continue to reach out to other educational establishments both locally and nationally. Our next stop will be at Winston Churchill High School on Wednesday 15th March, where we’ll be speaking to year 11 female students.
We’re excited for what 2024 will bring, watch this space!
